Mahale Mountains National Park lies on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Kigoma Region, Tanzania. Best known for its chimpanzee population and one of the other most important characteristic of the park is that this is one of only two protected areas for chimpanzees in the country.
Mahale Mountains provide a superb eco-system for the growth of the chimpanzee population due to its size and the remoteness. And most amazingly this is the place where the lions co-habit with the chimpanzees. The next best feature of this park is that, it can be experienced on foot. You cant find any road in and around it. It only can be approached with the boats.
