The day of summiting Kilimanjaro is a much awaited and exciting day for all those try it. Mostly the summiting is done in the dawn to enjoy how the lunar surface like top appears with the first ray of the sun. On the day of summit, you have to leave your bed in the mid night and after your daily works and light breakfast you would be get ready for the ascending. Your aim would be to reach at Uhuru shortly after the sun rise. Start our journey at 1 am, and try to reach at the Gilman's Point on the crater rim at 5,861-m/18,640 ft between 5 and 7 AM. From here you would be greeted with the magical carter and its icescape. And now comes the most exciting moment. Another 2 hours climb along the crater rim would take you to Uhuru: the true summit of Mount Kilimanjaro that you dreamt up. Latest by 9 am, you would find yourself on the highest peak of Africa. If you want to explore the other higher peaks of this mountain then walk 3,000 miles toward the Himalayas to find it. Trek one of the best summits in the world. Be sure to have your picture taken at the summit to show your friends. After your summit stay, descend back to the Kibo Huts, have lunch, rest, collect your things, and re cross the saddle to the Horombo Huts. Eat dinner and get some well-deserved sleep! You do the beginning of this climb in the dark with headlamps flashlights. It will be very cold until you start descending, so you will need all of your warm layers. This is, by far, the most difficult part of the trek. Slowly slowly, or, pole pole, and an optimistic attitude will get you there!
