Health & Safety On Kilimanjaro

When considering health and safety on Kilimanjaro, understanding altitude sickness, also known as “Acute Mountain Sickness,” is essential. At higher altitudes, the air’s lower oxygen content reduces oxygen delivery to the body’s organs and tissues.

Our Safari Vehicles

We prefer Landcruisers, which have proven themselves over the years, as the foremost safari vehicle in East Africa – they are rugged and cope well with the driving conditions both on and off-road. Our custom-built, ‘stretched’ safari vehicles offer extended legroom, with large windows and a pop up roof allowing 360 degree un-obscured game viewing, as well as an open ‘hatch’ over the front seat for those who would like to sit next to the guide. We only have window seats – so there’s no awkward peering around your fellow travellers from a middle seat for a glimpse of that elusive leopard! Each vehicle is equipped with an inverter so you may charge phones, cameras etc when driving. Plus of course a fridge to keep your drinks nice and chilled.
